Deborah Welsh has had an interest in photography for as long as she can remember. She began taking photography classes in high school and has been in her field ever since. For 15 years Deborah resided in the mountains of Colorado. She worked at a small weekly newspaper, The Fairplay Flume, while studying photography in Denver at CCD; and later at Colorado Mtn. College in Breckenridge. Thus, began her style of photojournalist work.

Wanting to learn photography on a higher level she decided to pick up and move to Santa Barbara, CA where she graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography. In 1992 she moved to San Francisco and opened her studio in the SOMA area and the rest is "her story." Deborah works with many corporate clients shooting headshots and attending business and social events. When she's not shooting people she's shooting catalog/product photography.
